I love to see imperfect people doing imperfect things. Unfortunately ...at least for me...there isn't a lot of demand for business cards featuring men and women falling flat on their rear ends. But I do use this "common person" theme to show a human side of careers that are sometimes perceived as being less-than-human.

Stuffy business cards are fine for office workers who are stuffy, but there are plenty of professionals who see the world through a slightly different lens. These folks don't want a business card that says, "I'm really wacky!" but they may want one that says, "I'm more than a big brain sitting behind a desk. I'm down-to-earth!"

If you're a dentist or an accountant, for example, you know that a lot of people are intimidated by the very work that you do. After all, you fix their teeth; you control the money! Cards like Bright Pearly Whites, or Calculating Canine show that above all else, you're approachable. That vibe can go a long way with clients who want to feel comfortable with a hired professional.
