Sending customers gift cards and birthday cards lets them know they are cared for.Small business owners looking for an easier option for label printing can turn to the Toshiba Tec DB-EA4D.

The new, two-sided direct thermal label printer can print directly onto a label's backing paper which increases usability and does not affect functionality. The printer also reduces waste and is ideal for applications requiring dual output.

The printer benefits its owners by using fewer consumables in the print process, which reduces storage space and shipping costs.

"Continuous improvement in environmental performance is a heartfelt commitment throughout the organization," said Toshihiko Minato, general manager of marketing and solution division for the Global Business Solutions group at Toshiba Tec.

Many business continue to use print marketing campaigns in order to connect with consumers. Home Access Today says a good way to show customers appreciation is to mail personalized messages such as post cards or birthday cards, which include a discount.

Sending a personal note to a customer, along with a coupon, can help a customer feel wanted and encourage him or her to shop with the company in the future.

Another useful marketing strategy is printing gift certificates and sending those to local customers. One California retailer has executed this strategy and said the response has been great.
