Business cards make a great first impression. The Direct Marketing Association recently announced the opening of the New Center for Accountable Marketing in Sunnyvale, California. Working in collaboration with many marketing companies, the DMA hopes to provide direct marketing resources and insights to businesses through the center.

The executive director of the new center, Alexandra Morehouse, will report directly to the DMA's CEO Lawrence Kimmel. Morehouse has gained marketing experience from stints at American Express, Charles Schwab and Company, Ancenstry.com and AAA. She has an MBA from Harvard Business School and was awarded the San Francisco Business Times Most Influential Business award in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

"The DMA's Center for Accountable Marketing will offer executives and marketers an enhanced opportunity to understand and leverage technology and network with the world-leading organizations that comprise DMA membership," Morehouse said.

One such member that will likely provide valuable insight and advice to fellow marketers is Cindy Humphrey, the vice president of product and marketing at CenturyLink Business. The Direct Marketing Association recently named Humphrey the business to business marketer of the year for leading her team toward a demand-centric marketing model.
