PC maker Lenovo, announced a new program by Lenovo Financial Services called the Lenovo Partner Credit program to extend financing terms for small-to-medium business resellers in the U.S.
The Lenovo Partner Credit program offers up to 60 days of no interest credit for eligible resellers by extending indirect financing through Lenovo’s distributors D&H, Ingram Micro, Synnex and Tech Data.
The program is an extension of Lenovo Financial Service’s end user financing program established in June 2010, and is a collaboration between Lenovo and De Lage Landen Financial Services, a provider of asset-based financing products.
North American Channel Chief of Lenovo, Chris Frey, said that the program was the result of feedback from resellers who needed to meet working capital objectives and still make money.
“It’s the only way an SMB reseller can grow their business,” Diane Croessman, Executive Director of Lenovo Global Financial Services, told Channel Insider. “They won’t have to borrow cash to fund their inventory acquisition.”
The Lenovo Partner Credit program is available in the U.S. and will spread to Canada later in the year.
