Mobile apps help marketers reach customers

VerticalResponse recently launched a new mobile app for social media marketing that allows small businesses to manage their social media efforts from smartphones or tablets while on the go. The mobile application can make social media marketing easier for consumers who are deploying them in conjunction with other efforts such as direct mail or digital communications.

The mobile app enables marketers to create, schedule, manage and measure their social marketing campaigns from a single dashboard. They can post updates or photos on a company Facebook page, share a link on Twitter or update company information on LinkedIn. The tracking component of the app then measures the success of each campaign, allowing marketers to make adjustments in future efforts.

The mobile app can prove to be very helpful for marketers who not only handle multichannel marketing campaigns but also promote live events. According to Constant Contact, 66 percent of marketing professionals want to use social media to reach new customers, and 65 percent want to leverage the technology to collect customer feedback on events and products. The two main reasons marketers add social media to their integrated campaigns are to boost consumer bases and improve communication with customers. Of marketers hosting live events, 90 percent prefer to use Facebook when encouraging customers to attend the event.
