Small business owners are always looking for ways to generate more clientele. U.S. Congressman Sean Duffy is holding the Opportunities for Small Business conference at the University of Wisconsin-Superior to pass knowledge onto small business owners, says the Superior Telegram.
"I'm working hard to create the right environment for small businesses to grow and create jobs." Duffy told the news source. "We must do everything in our power to give local job creators and entrepreneurs the tools they need to thrive."
At the conference, small business owners will learn about opportunities for lending, exporting and doing business with the federal government and Native American tribes.
Duffy will also explain how the Small Business Jobs Act will work to give small businesses opportunities to receive federal and state lending, says the news source.
Another opportunity for small business owners to learn about potential lending programs is at the 2011 America East Conference for SBA Lenders, according to the Rochester Business Journal.
The conference will be held in Buffalo and feature Richard Dietz, regional economic office and chief economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's Buffalo Branch, ac as the key speaker, says the news source.
