Entrepreneurial training is becoming more readily available for small business owners. The Solano College Small Business Development Center is seeking entrepreneurs to take part in an 11-week NxLeveL Entrepreneurial Training Program beginning in September, according to The Reporter.
The California-based training program is offering small business owners the opportunity to participate in practical, hands-on business training that features a combination of classroom training, one-on-one mentoring and networking, says the news source.
The Reporter says the University of Calgary conducted a study to see the results of the NxLeveL courses and participants experienced a 32 percent increase in gross sales within one year of graduation.
The government is also working towards helping small businesses with several small business training programs. Practical ecommerce is reporting that the Internal Revenue Services, the U.S. Small Business Administration and Startup America are among the list of governmental entities offering some type of small business mentorship.
Startup America is the White House's program designed to celebrate, inspire and accelerate entrepreneurship throughout the nation.
